There’s No Smoke Without Fire

Fire up your senses with @whiskeymuse’s ‘There’s No Smoke Without Fire’ cocktail. Try it with American Single Malt Whiskey.

To make Apricot Syrup: Puree the entire contents of a 500ml can of Apricots in a blender with half a cup of sugar. Don’t make it too sweet as there are other sweetening agents in the cocktail.


  • 2 ½ parts American Single Malt Whiskey
  • ½ parts Strega
  • 1 part Lemon Juice
  • ½ parts Apricot Syrup
  • 1 dash Scrappy’s Firewater Bitters


Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until diluted and chilled. Double strain into your favourite cocktail glass and express with lemon oils and garnish.
