Jf’s Bourbon Hope
1 1/2 part Bourbon
1/2 part Vanilla Liqueur
1 part Lemon Juice
1 part Honey Ginger Syrup
3 part Steeped Green Tea
1 part Egg White
Start by steeping a cup of green tea and allowing it to chill. For the syrup, blend together 200g of honey, 200g of water and 20g of peeled fresh ginger, once the ginger is fully incorporated into the syrup, strain the syrup using a fine mesh strainer. Measure all ingredients accordingly into a shaker tin and give the mixture a shake without any ice to first incorporate air. Add ice and shake the cocktail again to achieve dilution and drop in temperature. Strain the cocktail into a rocks glass. Garnish with candied ginger and green tea leaves.
