Did you know that a Whiskey Sour with an egg white is called a Boston Sour? Dry shake your ingredients first to help your egg foam rise in volume before the ice and cold water have a chance to dilute. While egg whites will have very little effect on the cocktail’s taste, they add a nice rich, silky, foam texture. Vegan? Use Gum syrup!
Boston Sour
- 2 parts Bourbon
- ¾ part Lemon juice
- ½ Sugar syrup
- ½ part egg white
Dry shake all ingredients and strain back into shaker. Add ice and shake again. Double-strain into a short ice-filled glass.
