Barrel Aged Boulevardier

Barrel Aged Boulevardier

1 part Bourbon
1 part Italian Vermouth
1 part Campari

We recommend making this cocktail in a large batch as it takes time to age. Start by rinsing out a 3-5L New Oak Barrel to ensure it is clean and well sealed. Follow the provided instructions on how to treat your new barrel. In a large container, measure all three ingredients accordingly and carefully pour the mixture into the barrel. Let the mixture sit for up to two weeks, giving the barrel a turn every two days to insure the mixture is well acquainted with the oak. After two weeks time, it is ready to enjoy. The cocktail can sit in the barrel for longer to develop a richer flavour, but feel free to decant the barrel if you wish to preserve the drink at that state. Measure the preferred amount over ice in a rocks glass and stir the mixture to dilute and chill. Express and garnish the cocktail with a fresh orange peel.
