To make Tamarind Syrup: Combine 1/3 cup of tamarind paste with ¾ cups granulated sugar, and 1 ¼ cups water. Boil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Lower heat and whisk the boiling syrup briskly for 1-2 minutes. Let cool and strain with a fine mesh strainer.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ parts Bourbon
- ½ part American Whiskey
- ½ part Tamarind syrup
- 1/5 part Clove Syrup
METHOD
Stir all ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Add orange zest as garnish.
